MWB volunteers provide a variety of services to people in our areas of operation. Services include health screening, nursing, minor surgeries, immunizations, palliative care, EMS, EMT training, teaching children in schools, providing public health education and other counseling services. The volunteer can also perform various home or resident care activities and related non-medical services such as massage and physio therapies necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. He/she will maintain established MWB policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Will strive to incorporate the philosophy, vision and mission statements of MWB and to incorporate the MWB’s goal of teaching and quality care practices in a personal manner with absolute regard for safety and individual human dignity.

The volunteer should have the resources to travel to Ghana and should be able to maintain enough finances for his/her upkeep. He/she will live up to MWB's Standards of Conduct and obey all applicable national laws and regulations of Ghana. He/she will represent MWB accurately and honestly. He/she will act with integrity and in the best interest of the organization. WIll Identify instances of non-compliance and take appropriate actions, including reporting violations to MWB leadership. Volunteers are not paid for the services they provide to the people they help.

Position Qualifications:

- Minimum Education: Not required. Should be at least 18 years if traveling by self.

- Minimum Experience: Not required.

- Additional Required Skills: The desire to help others such as children, the sick. CPR or first responder certification essential but not required.
